Hybrid Teaching

Biology Education

Prof. Martin Lindner

Presentation

And then Corona came… What does that mean for the planning and implementation of courses in teacher training? Is it possible to facilitate active and joint learning despite distance regulations? How can the “space between us” be used to communicate important content in a targeted manner? Prof. Martin Lindner and his team from the didactics of biology at the Martin-Luther-University have taken on the special condition of the Corona semester to develop an event in which distance rules and hygiene regulations are addressed both in terms of content and organization. The developed hybrid format was created with student teachers and offered to 120 volunteers of the German Red Cross (DRK). The combination of online phases in the morning and practical outdoor phases went hand in hand, thus enabling active learning.
